In early October, Marvin and I hiked the newest trail in upstate SC- Stool Mountain in Table Rock State Park. The trail opened on September 4, 2025. It's a 5.4 mile round trip, 2.7 miles each way, with 1500' elevation gain.

In the spring of 2025 a wildfire burned a large swathe of the forest in and around the park. The regrowth is impressive and beautiful, many wildflowers were still in bloom.
